For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated with how people interact as individuals and as groups, especially in terms of self-awareness and how we navigate personal and professional settings. I later discovered my affinity was with emotional intelligence or how we understand and manage our emotions, as well as the emotions of others. This interest in emotional intelligence shifted into my professional life, particularly focused on how we manage ourselves, leadership, and even customers, individually or collectively, in business, during periods of success, growth and productivity and during periods of change and conflict. Serving in leadership positions, ranging from middle management to C-Suite, I have had the opportunity to interact with professionals at all levels, building teams where multi-level collaboration, communication, innovation and vision alignment were paramount to the organization’s success. What I found is emotional intelligence is a crucial skill for leaders, who need to inspire, motivate, and influence their teams to success.
​I believe that effective leadership, at any level, requires a 360-degree holistic approach that starts with self-awareness (emotional intelligence) and combines it with soft skills and business skills for a versatile leadership style. Using the science of emotional intelligence, soft skills and business operations as the foundation, I help people, teams, and organizations develop the skills and mindsets that enable them to perform at their best and create a culture of accountability at all levels of the organization. My approach is holistic, comprehensive and authentic, fostering a culture of connection, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement that leads to lasting success. Kaizen is a Japanese concept that means “positive change”, “change for the better”, or “enhancement.” It is a philosophy that encourages a mindset of making small, gradual changes that have a lasting impact over time. It is also a methodology that improves specific aspects of a company by engaging leaders and non-managerial staff to implement everyday changes, in themselves, their employees and in operations, recognizing that many minor improvements can lead to big outcomes.
